Wendy Connelly has been in the construction industry in some aspect for 22 years, but masonry is where she found her home. She joined the team at Mid-State Masonry in March 2013 during the Chapin High School project.
About a year earlier, Wendy met Joel and Abner while working for a general contractor on a project in which they were the masonry contractor. When she was seeking a job change, she reached out to Abner and was offered the job at Mid-State.
She loves seeing a project completed from the ground-up through the finished product. Even with all the technology today, it still takes hands and the human mind to construct great building. This mix of creativity and engineering is an art, and Wendy takes pleasure in seeing it daily.
A diehard Gamecock fan, Wendy graduated from USC and was even in the Carolina Band. She especially loves fall and the excitement college football brings. Good year or bad year – she’s still cheering on the Gamecocks!
Originally from Lexington, SC, she now lives in Pomaria, SC with her husband, four children, and pet lab, Charlie. To relax from her busy schedule, she loves to read and sew.
